Fostering the growth and appreciation of authentic Flamenco

Flamenco Appalachia, a vibrant force in the world of Flamenco dance and music, proudly reflects on its remarkable journey and announces the upcoming 2024 Asheville Flamenco Festival. Founded in 2019 by Asheville-based Flamenco dancer Paola Tinoco, the organization began with a dedicated group of students passionate about preserving and celebrating the art of Flamenco.

In 2023, Flamenco Appalachia marked a significant milestone by launching the inaugural Asheville Flamenco Festival at the esteemed Diana Wortham Center for the Arts. The festival’s success was a testament to the growing appreciation for authentic Flamenco in the region.

Beyond this flagship event, Flamenco Appalachia has made its mark by performing at notable events such as the LEAF Festival and various venues across Western North Carolina. The organization has also recently expanded its lineup with the addition of Flamenco guitarist Jake Mossman, who joins Paola Tinoco in their shared mission to promote the true spirit of Flamenco.

Looking ahead, Flamenco Appalachia is thrilled to announce the production of the 2024 Asheville Flamenco Festival, scheduled to take place from October 19th to 27th. This highly anticipated event will continue to showcase exceptional talent and bring the passionate rhythms of Flamenco to Asheville and beyond.
